Every fortnight we run a \u2018guest blog\u2019 feature about the \u2018Vaping Journey\u2019 of one of our customers.
\nThis feature comes from Norman G Morton who lives in Liskeard in Cornwall. Norman has discovered the TABlites<\/a> Cyclone.<\/p>\n

I began smoking when I was around 14 years old (I’m now 57)<\/strong> For most it started out as a curiosity or to be in with the gang sort of thing. I certainly don\u2019t remember it ever being mentioned as a health hazard like today.
\nAs the years went by I carried on smoking and for the last 25 years I have always rolled my own cigarettes using up to 2oz a week on average, and I have to say, I did enjoy a good smoke. I\u2019ve always worked outdoors so never felt I was doing myself too much harm.<\/p>\n

\n3 Weeks ago 15\/05\/14 I was diagnosed as having contracted Lung Cancer<\/strong> which came as a bit of shock to the system considering I thought I just had a bit of a bad back for the past few months!.. Now I could have gone one of two ways on finding out this news.
\n1) Well I got lung cancer already so just as well carry on smoking, can\u2019t do any more harm can it!..
\nOr 2) There now are a lot of dedicated people now trying to save my life so I really should try to help myself a wee bit as well. Bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted I know, but…!<\/p>\n

Having decided to try and give myself the best chance I could think of now by giving up smoking (bit late I know) and knowing that the McMillan Nurses and Doctors are going to spend a lot of time and effort to try to prolong my life (if not cure me) then giving up the weed was the least I could do. Now, I knew this was not going to be easy to do (I had tried several years ago when my brother died of Lung Cancer). I tried the the then-available electronic cigarettes and the experience was less than good.. it was awful – bad taste and left a horrid after-taste for ages after\u2026 It didn\u2019t work!<\/p>\n

Now the shoe was on the other foot and I knew I really ought to try to give up again, that maybe I should try the electronic cigarette thing again in the vain hope it might have improved what with new technology… maybe there was something new out there I could try. So my search began\u2026 I knew I wanted to use a UK company if I was going to use anyone and I began trawling Google for a likely candidate. I happened across \u201cThe Electric Tobacconist\u201d site. I quite liked the look of it and there seemed to be this tremendous choice. I was astounded as to what could now be purchased and the incredible flavour choices!<\/p>\n

I fully came into this expecting to fail yet again<\/strong>. This is the honest truth. I DID NOT EXPECT this time to be much different from my last attempt to stop smoking despite the many changes that there have obviously been over the years. Anyway, I decided to go for the TABlites Cyclone Kit<\/a>, mostly for the flavour options (thought it might help a bit more in some way, just a guess.. clutching at straws e.t.c) and I still wanted the paraphernalia of the smoking thing going on (again just thought it might help – another guess e.t.c)\u2026 AND!!!!.. HAND ON HEART, folks\u2026 I have not wanted to pick up a real cigarette from the first day this TABlites E-Cigarette was handed to me by my postwoman and I\u2019m the first to admit I never was expecting that at all..
\nFor me these TABlites E-Cigarettes mean I know that I will never go back to real smoking ever again. These things are a marvel now, and boy do I wish I\u2019d found The Electric Tobacconist and tried them a long time ago now!<\/p>\n
