PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerin) are the main constituents used in e-liquid.
VG is more viscous (thicker), slightly sweeter and produces larger vapour clouds.
PG carries flavour better.
Most first time users tend to lean towards higher PG content, but the more experience you gain with vaping, you might want to try higher VG content, especially when using box mods.
Note: we do not recommend using VG content of higher than 50% with plastic clearomizers as they may cause cracking.
We can only offer a rule of thumb here, but the best way to advise you is as follows:
If using a sub-ohm device, you may want to cut the amount of nicotine in half at the very least (e.g. if you use 12mg, go for 6mg or 3mg instead).
Vaping habits are different, so it's hard to say... some people like to puff away all day and other people use their ecigs more sparingly. As a rough guide, the average 20 a day smoker of traditional cigarettes would get through a 10ml bottle every 3-5 days or so.
Short fill e-liquids (also known as shake 'n' vape e-liquids) are nicotine-free vape juices available in larger bottle sizes with enough space left to drop in a nicotine shot. This allows you to upgrade your zero-nicotine liquids and give them a nicotine kick! A nicotine shot is a flavourless e-liquid with high nicotine content (up to 20mg). Most short fills are designed to result in a 3mg nicotine e-liquid after adding a nicotine shot.
This e-liquid is 70% vegetable glycerin (VG) and 30% propylene glycol (PG)
Sub-ohm simply means the resistance of the atomiser coil is below 1.0 ohm. Sub-ohm coils are generally larger and therefore can utilise more power and cover a greater area of wick - a combination which results in massive vapour production. A high-powered device paired with a sub-ohm tank is required for sub ohm vaping (a separate high-drain battery may also be required - e.g. the Samsung 25R 18650).
"Direct-to-lung" is the suggested vaping style for most sub-ohm devices (as opposed to "mouth-to-lung" - i.e. how a traditional cigarette would be smoked).
High-VG (over 60% VG), low nicotine (6mg or lower) e-liquid is recommended when using sub-ohm devices.
