VApril

Looking to find out more about vaping? This April, the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) are running VApril, an awareness month to give smokers more information on vaping and to help them make the switch to e-cigarettes.

In a recent YouGov poll commissioned by the Electric Tobacconist®, we found that 43% of Brits believed that vaping was better for your health than smoking. One of the aims of VApril is to dispel the myths and discard the bad science that continue to affect public perceptions of e-cigarettes and to make people aware of the ever-strengthening case for vaping.

In a recent update to their 2015 review, Public Health England concluded that vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking and that e-cigarettes could be assisting at least 20,000 new quits each year (though the number is thought to be far higher by those in the industry). On top of that, the results of the first long-term clinical study into the effects of vaping on ex-smokers, conducted by Cancer Research, showed that the levels of chemicals associated with cancer were 97% lower in those who had switched to vaping than those who had continued to smoke.

If you’re among the 40% of British smokers who have yet to try vaping, there’s no better time than now. Pick up one of our e-cigarette starter kits in time for VApril and take your first step towards a smoke-free life today!
